‘No light, but rather Darkness visible.’ – John Milton

IMG_1587I just had to put this photo in – I look at it and I see hundreds of years of work, tools, and makers intentions weaving in towards this particular moment in time. Sitting in Karl’s workshop, while he is intent on his task and I have none, I had a moment to just really look around me.

It’s often surprising to pull back after a period of intense focus on the miniscule – for an instant you really see things as a child might. No thoughts, no ideas, just seeing.
